POSITION DESCRIPTION

3rd Shift Senior Operator - West Plant Rotomold

 

 

Reports to:        Manufacturing Supervisor

Prepared By:        Human Resources 

FLSA Status:        Hourly

   

SUMMARY: 

Working as a member of a team, assist in the attainment of all manufacturing production requirements by learning and following all process steps and requirements necessary to produce parts.  Position requires frequent work at various heights.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •     Demonstrate continued understanding of all machine operations

  •     Demonstrate the basic use of manufacturing tools.

  •     Inspection of parts to meet quality standards and follow all ISO processes and procedures.

  •     Assist in meeting the production requirements.

  •   Assist in the reduction of scrap.

  •     Understand and complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.

  •     Effective communication skills.

  •   Displays willingness to adapt to new ways of doing business.

  •     Follow daily production reporting procedures.

  •     Demonstrates consistent successful performance.

  •     Works to meet established expectations, maintain performance levels, and pursues objectives with energy and persistence.

  •     Is open to change and new information; rapidly adapts to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles.

  •     Adhere and Comply with all company safety requirements.

  •     Displays personal effectiveness. 

  •     Delegates routine work assignments.

  •     Demonstrates consistently good written and verbal skills. 

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • One to three years manufacturing experience preferred. 

  •  

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Must be able to read, speak and write English

 

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form

  • Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.

  • Ability to count and measure

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using basic math skills.

  • Ability to distinguish colors

 

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: 

Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the attendance policy stated in the company’s employee handbook.  Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Must be available and willing to work such weekends and/or holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Similar to those of the department the employee is operating in.
