IT Applications Developer

We are looking to fill a IT Applications Developer position for our PlayPower campus in Monett, MO.

Responsibilities include:

• Creates .NET and Web applications by evaluating user specifications; analyzing existing and proposed systems; creating requirements documents, set-up scripts, network, database, security, and installation; identifying constraints and technical issues.

• Defines application problem by conferring with business users and evaluating procedures and processes.

• Ensures steady state operation by training client personnel and providing support.

• Develops applications by studying existing technology architecture; evaluating solution alternatives; developing prototypes; building scalable applications; programming objects, events, functions, error trapping, data verification, interactions, and dynamic updating.

• Develops user interfaces by preparing a work flow chart and diagram based on subject matter, human factors, and logic; writing queries involving table alterations, views, selects, inner and outer joins, and optimized queries.

• Integrates applications by studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, databases, search engines, and information servers.

• Confirms user acceptance of the applications by planning and conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or debugging codes; resolving problems.

• Improves serviceability by preparing reusable component design

• Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools

• Updates job knowledge by researching new internet / intranet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.


Qualifications, Job Requirements and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years full stack expertise in .NET development environment (ASP/ASP.NET/C#/VB/ASP), HTML, JavaScript, VB Script Java and web programming skills, MS Azure experience highly desirable

• Experience with database, server-based programming using Transact SQL and PL/SQL (stored procedures, triggers, and Advanced SQL).

• Experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to packaged business applications and ERP desirable but not required.

• Background in design concepts including transactions, security, scalability, and performance.

• Knowledge of Azure Cloud, Mobile, Web Development and platforms preferred

• Good software development and architecture fundamentals, including programming methodologies required

• Creativity & problem-solving skills required

• Ability and desire to gain deep expertise on the PlayPower applications and support a wonderful business user team

• Good trouble shooting skills, identifying bottlenecks, bugs and devising solutions to mitigate these issues

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA highly desirable

• Good communication skills, work ethic and ability to work in a team
