POSITION DESCRIPTION

PAINT LINE HANGER

Internal Step - G1S2 3rd Shift

FLSA Status:        Hourly

       

SUMMARY:  Hang Parts, unloads and moves materials within plant. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Hanging parts on the moving paint line per line tracker instructions.

  2. Prep parts for hanging inspect for quality.

  3. Unloading arches and placing them in to staging bays

  4. Unloading miscellaneous parts and place them on pallets, in vehicles on racks or shelves.

  5. Using a hammer to drive caps into the ends of the post and then wrapping the end of the post with cohesive paper.

  6. Taking all of the hooks off of the line and placing them on racks to be taken back to the plant to have the excess paint removed.

  7. Driving forklift to move parts to staging areas

  8. Carrying large parts from the line to the large parts staging area.

  9. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials and marks information on cases and containers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

  • One to three years manufacturing experience preferred.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form

  • Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence

  • Ability to count and measure equipment

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using basic math skills.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to distinguish colors.

 

 

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT:

Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level is determined in the company’s employee handbook. Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Must be available and willing to work such weekends and/or holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
